After calling around several places and getting quotes (in a range between 1x and 5x of each other), I found State Stone Work. I actually saw their delivery van driving around town. I called and got Emad. He was honest, busy, and understood how to keep the cost down on my small project. I’ll be doing work through him again. It’s a bit of a drive for me from north county to his shop in El Cajon. But he delivers, at a reasonable price, and on time. That’s hard to come by.”

“I had called 4 different places because I was doing just a piece of black granite for my fireplace. 2 places never got back to me, 1 said the job was too small to consider and another place said they had an $800 minimum. All I needed was the piece made and I would install it. I called on a Saturday and Emad said come on down. I meet him he showed me what pieces of stone he had, gave me a price and said it would be done by next weekend. I called on Friday excited to pick up my granite and he said it would be done today by close and I could pick it up. He delivered, got the piece a day early, it looked great, I got a fair price and the employees helped me load it in my SUV. They will get all my business, I plan on doing my kitchen soon and trust their employees and the owner 100%. Emad runs his business like you would expect it to be run, with quality, integrity, and honest workmanship. Not many places get a 5-star rating from me unless they exceed in their quality and workmanship, these guys earned it!”

He guided us through the process of selecting slabs for two projects – bar renovation and fireplace surround. He gave helpful guidance and provided not only quality service delivery on time and within budget, but also created a beautiful design. He “mirrored” the stone pattern on the backslash. He also created a mitered edge for the hearth so that the pattern of the stone would continue all around – adding to the beauty of the expensive patterned stone that we selected.
